It is said that in ancient Japan, Buddhist monks sometimes suffered hunger pangs during extended periods of meditation. The custom was to apply warm stones to the heart and stomach to alleviate this discomfort. Our cafe is intended to provide comfort and warmth to you in an informal atmosphere designed for calm and quiet conversation. We hope to be the Warm Stones for our guests -- to satisfy your hunger and yield otherworldly contentment to all whom we are privileged to serve.
The regular daily menu at the Warm Stones Cafe is available 7 days a week. It includes snacks and wraps in the range of $5.00 to $10.00, as well as a variety of daily specials.
Snacks include pita bread and choice of dips, samosas and salad, steamed vegetable and chicken buns, fresh fruit bowls and soups.
Sandwiches are wraps stuffed with fresh vegetable and chicken selections, as well as veggie burgers, combined with garden vegetables, nuts, baby spinach and our own sauces. All sandwiches come with a side of fresh fruit or tomato and cucumber salad.
We have daily specials of ethnic foods such as Habichuelas (Puerto Rican beans and rice), Vegetable Korma or other vegetarian specialties. Each day we freshly bake scones, cookies and other desserts.
Hot tea is served in pots. We also offer iced teas, including pomegranate green and oolong peach, as well as sparkling fruit sodas.
You can eat inside or outside on our deck, weather permitting.
Come enjoy fresh foods, prepared to order and offered for your enjoyment in the calm and beauty of the Warm Stones Cafe.
