"Tea is liquid wisdom."
Serving tea is an essential part of inhabiting this space. Come sip tea slowly and take time to experience the beauty of its flavor and aroma while sitting in a 200 year old barn next to a meandering stream. Our outdoor deck provides a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the open air and green surroundings -- or simply to contemplate Mount Nittany in the distance.
We hope that our guests will enjoy the mindful and friendly interactions that are often observed in the tea cultures of the worlds -- as they share tea and wisdom in an open and gentle environment.
We provide a wide range of teas from countries known for their tea cultures, such as China, India, Sri Lanka and Japan, as well as herbal infusions valued for their health-promoting properties.
We serve over 50 varieties of teas in the teashop, and we package all of our teas for retail sale, so that you can enjoy them at home with friends. You can purchase retail teas online by clicking below.
Our purpose in serving tea in pots that can be endlessly refilled is to encourage you to sip slowly and to engage in calm thoughts or quiet conversation. At East-West Crossings, we have made an intentional decision not to serve take-out food and beverage, because we are searching for an alternative to the throw-away ethos, accelerated pace, and multi-tasking imperative that is typical of the dominant culture.
Come sip tea slowly and take time to find your center.
