The mission of Ajiri Tea Company is to provide employment for women in Kenya and to educate orphans in their communities. "Ajiri" means to employ" in Swahili, the national language of Kenya. Women in the Kisii region handcraft the box labels, using dried banana bark and recycled magazines, so the package is just as delightful as the taste of the tea itself. Currently five different women's groups, totaling over 60 women, are creating artwork for the Ajiri Tea Company.

100% of the Ajiri Tea Company's net profits are returned to the Kisii community.
